Welcome to our new site! Please excuse our dahlia dust while our site is under construction (updates through 2020).
Update 9/26/2020. It’s been a busy year here in the Willamette Valley (Oregon) due to Covid-19, the excessive high temperatures and fires. The fire was within 10 miles of the farm which caused thick smoke to blanket the valley for weeks. That was followed by high winds that blew over half the garden and broke plants at the base (even though they were tied). It’s a busy process cleaning the garden damage in preparation of the farm’s annual Colonial Harvest Days.
Update 10/23/2020: OUR GARDEN IS NOW CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.
Freezing low temps with frost has arrived and closed our fresh cut dahlia garden for the season.
The annual Colonial Harvest Days remains open 7 days a week 10a.m. to 5p.m. through Nov 1st. For details, go to the bottom of the About Us page for the link to The Northern Lights Christmas Tree Farm owned by Bob and Lynn Schutte.
Thank you to all the new and returning customers that made our season such a success! Next is a few days rest and catching up on household projects. Then, we will begin digging and dividing tubers so we can get our online tuber store open in December. We’ll keep you posted!
We have also started to update our catalog with over 50 new varieties which should be complete by mid November. You may also follow our Facebook page for updates (link at bottom of this page).
